i went out today and decided i was fed up with all the black soot from my exhaust that was residing upon my new rear bumper and spoiler, cause no matter how many times i wash the car in one week, its black again in 2 days cause my car was running so rich. so i plugged the shitty fuel pressure gauge back into the regulator, and rechecked the needle valve on the regulator. it was too far in, so i turned it back out a quarter turn (lowering the fuel pressure). so now it was sitting at exactly two full turns out. so i gave it a run and it showed 85-90 psi of fuel pressure. still too high...but i cant imagine what i was running before (and this is at 5 pounds boost). i was probably braching 100psi of FP when it was at 2.25 turns out. so my car is slightly quicker and YAY, it doesnt make the interior smell like fuel anymore when i drive it hard under boost. also the rear bumper isnt as dirty as usual after one day.

the bad news, halfway to work i noticed i had a CEL. i checked them just now when i got home and i got 12 and 32. 12, what the fuck is code 12? its not on the PCM Codes list on the main page. and 32 is the EGR code, i didnt even touch the EGR today. any ideas? (BTW, the CEL didnt put me in power save/safe mode or whatever, or if it did, my new fuel pressures improved my speed so much so that i didnt notice. either way im not sweating it, but id like to know what im looking at here before i clear the codes tomorrow and end up getting them again.

i got a 12 before... someone said its a code to do with the MAP sensor, but mines working fine, and i havent had any act ups. no harm, no foul i dont guess. far as the EGR code, i dont know about it. sorry man.

so you just drive around with your CEL on?

code 12 is just that you disconnected the battery in the last 50 key cycles its fine

For the code 32, try checking the vac lines that connect to the egr solenoid. Sometimes with the turbo getting so hot, the vac lines get melted if they are too close or touching anything that gets hot. I got that code like a month ago and after i cleared it, it never came back. Course like 1 week later my headgasket is all f'd up, but i doubt that has anything to do with that code. I'd just check the solenoid lines and clear the code. Odds are you wont see em again.

Code 12 comes on every time I pop any code at all. It's supposed to be disconnect w/i last 50 cycles but it's just a dummy code. Ignore it and concentrate on that egr code.
