I'm getting the triple gauge pod also, Boost, EGT and Oil Pressure. I'm also going to get the digital A/F gauge and mount it on the steering column.

Stage I kit - 1760 E trim - 125 HKS BOV - 90 FCD - 0 Boost Gauge Autometer/SPI/ - 30
I would get a modified air/fuel meter at the least ($90), an EGT is the best of course. I have noticed though, that the autometer EGT's don't react all that quickly compared to my Apex'I (guess thats the difference between $120 and $270 :P) But an EGT is a great way to tell whats really going on with your engine. I used to have a Greddy EGT and that reacted pretty quick too.

Do you guys think it would be necessary to mod a HALMETER A/F gauge for WOT, or is it adaquete already ?

Well, I woul dthink a regular Halmeter is the same as a cyberdyne or srock autometer gauge. Each LED symbolizes .05v as compared to a modified Autometer that reads .01v per LED. The precision is what we are looking for. So yes, I think if Mike could modify them it woul dbe cool. Might be cheaper to buy an autometer though. Wyatt get my email? I think eventually you'll need a/f,egt and fuel pressure gauges. I'm missing the latter two but have filled my 3pods too. I'm gonna mount 2" elect fuel pressure and egt on the steering wheel column or even smaller 46mm if available.

2469, Speaking of mounting pods... Posted by Phat99Eclipse, Mar-08-01 12:47 PM
I have the 3 gauge full A-Pillar from Autometer that is filled with a boost, egt, and a/f. I want fuel and oil pressure gauges next. Autometer just released the 2G Eclipse Dash bezel that incorporates 2 guage pods. Everyone should check it out if they need a few more mounting places, or want a stealthier look, atleast from the exterior.

since those cover the stock water temp and fuel guages don't that mean you should only use those pods for the water temp and fuel guage? I don't know, I plan to have A/F, EGT, Boost, Oil pressure and oil temperature guages and I still want to know my water temparature and how much fuel I have left. 5 extra guages. I already plan to get the triple pillar mount, now gotta find a place to mount the other two.

I'm not completely sure but I don't think it's suppose to cover any existing gauges.
