I second that And I have the HRC kit, where the manual is much more forgiving.

Bah!!! You guys are wussies ;-) If you are fairly mechanicly inclined its really not that tough to do. It's tedious to do yourself just because it takes a long time to do, but the work isn't really difficult. Me, my bro and XtremeRS put his HRC stage one on in 6 hours without a single problem. Besides, if you have questions, theres tons of people who have the same kit here on this board so getting answers doesnt take long at all. Good luck if you do attempt it yourself and have fun.

to say on a scale of 1 to 10, to me, doesn't give you a good idea. I think it depends on your mechanical abilites, having proper tools and work enviroment, and overall know how of cars. If you don't know squat about cars or engines, and dont like getting your hands dirty, then take it to a mechanic. IMO, its not that hard, just time-consuming, and you need lots of patience. Being good with your hands and tools is the biggest help of all, and having friends help is even better. On my scale, i give it a 7. Just a bunch of nuts and bolts really...Yep, as matt95tgs said, about 6 hours or so for my install, but i was PREPARED fully for it, only one run to the store for parts :)

Just buy the damn kit already. I can't imagine the types of questions you are going to post once you get the kit, holy shit. :wary

hehehe ^^ werd
like they said it depends on how good you are. I would say about an 8 and that was because it was a Star kit with very crappy instructions and it took me two whole days to do it. (never done it before)

i think that was a little uncalled for. nobody is bitching about anything. truth is the questions you have asked lately really arent worth asking , i.e. "which blow off valve sounds the best". and for the install. its not as bad if you have a brand new kit. if you get a used kit like i did, expect trips to the parts store and having to work around missing parts

Sorry guys if I seem a bit "bitchy" I just don't like answering the same questions over and over. But we are to help, so fire away, ask all you want. I guess it is important to know: (sampling of your posts)

hehehe ^^pms king... In nicer words what he is saying is that most if not all of the questions you are asking have been asked hundreds of times before and can be easily found in the things we've seen before or just by going through the posts in the different forums.

yeah he isnt the only one, i bitched at you the very first day you posted on the board and had 4 questions in a row in the turbo forum regarding basically the same thing. now, i havent seen a 1-10 scale difficulty question before, but you should have been able to discern the level of difficulty simply based on the questions you and hundreds of other members have asked about the very same topic. but i give it a 6, its not so much hard as long. uh, yeah, hard and long.

24365, RE: on a scale of 1 to 10 its a.......................... Posted by MuRiX, Jun-13-02 04:13 AM
I am going to have to chime in here and agree. I actually tend to skip these questions asked because 1- they have been asked before if a search is done 2- bad grammar really irks me. This goes beyond the turbo section. I try to not respond to questions that I have difficulty reading or seem to be something that was asked before in the first place. I AM bitching.
On a side note - do you have a personal problem with the letter U? It is a really good vowel and has a lot of uses, like spelling the word question properly, or quad.
