24222, Well its rebuild time... a few questions
Posted by Matt_95tgs, Jun-09-02 04:47 PM
I have decided to break down and do the rebuild. I have pistons rings and rods on the way and am currently deciding on whether to go with the larger injectors and safc or get in on corbin's group buy and go that route. Is anyone other than Corbin using this setup? If so, how much work was it and how is it working out for you?

Q1. Anyone have an extra fuel rail for sale??? (in the for sale/wanted section too)

Q2. I have a 1995 and am not sure if my clutch is modular or not. I am going to buy a new clutch too and have the entire rotating assembly balanced so I need to get it ordered. Is there any way to tell if it is modular or not without taking it apart (would the dealership know with a vin #)?

Q3. I will be running 15-17 psi once i have an ignition for timing retard so will the Centerforce DF clutch do the job well and last? I really dont wanna spend 750 bux on a Clutchmasters... (anyone know where I can get one cheaper?) If anyone has any other suggestions on clutches, pls shout it out :)

Q4. Does anyone within 6 hours of Michigan know of a reputible machine shop to bore and hone the cylinders and deck plate and balance it all at a good price?

Thanks for the help fellas as usual :7

Spend the extra $$$ on the CM stage 3/4. i dont think there is anyway the CF will hold 15-18psi, when ive seen cases that they messed up on stock motors. i can get you a CM stage 3 or 4 for less than 700 dollars. call KLR Sport Compact Performance in Tennessee, (865) 986-4110. thats wherei got my CM stage 4. Ask for Mace and be SURE to tell him that Anthony told you to call. he will hook you up.

well my 95 you have to replace the whole thing for a clutch fly wheel n everything and yes they will be able to check by the vin number if you need the whole thing or not, but it will be more money if you need the whole thing as opposed to just the clutch and the resurfaced fly wheel
