Recently blew stock pistons and ordered pistons and rods from CNNP, which never came. Beware of CNNP!! I called Howell Automotive and a they told me that I couldn't use the stock bore JE pistons on my engine if it was turbo charged. Can anybody explain the difference between using stock bore vs .020 over-sized. I thought I could just buy the standard bore JE's and rods and slap them in without all the machine work hassel. Let me know!

depends on the condition of your engine to use stock size or to over bore it... open it up and take a look at your block (inside) to see if its ok yet... to overbore is just to make it bigger/cleaner ..

If you blew your pistons then more than likely you have scared cylinder walls. Boring it out makes them smooth and clean again.
