24082, Why does it feel like my engine is hitting the firewall?

Can you guys explain to me or at least help me solve this problem. I have the star stage 1 turbo kit in my 96 RS and had just install my Clutchmaster stage 1 clutch kit. It grips about 70% overstock. I took the car out for a couple of runs but can hear the engine slamming into the firewall when I powershift into second. All of the engine mounts seem to look alright when I checked it out. What size tires do you guys run when racing. I was running on 17's. Could this be the problem. What do you guys think?

Your rear motor mount is busted. Time to get a new one or install some inserts! You can find motor mount inserts in summit.

and get one of those front urethane ones too, so youll never get that nasty front wheel hop. that is something that i need to take care of really quick her, its pretty embarrasing if your trying to tare it up and someone is riding shot gun, and your front goes bouncing down the road as the race begins. ehhh.
24086, I ripped 2 of mine...
