Other then them jacking Apexi for the idea and name. It does everything the AFC does (50% plus/minus ect) but also has seperate adjustments for idle (650-1500rpm range) and even some feedback reponse features I need to read more about. Only thing its missing is the dope ass display but it looks like it should be easier to tune (its looks like a turbo timer). Even has the same MSRP. I would be the one to test it but I'm starting to get way ahead of myself with things to do (and haven't done a damn thing yet turbo related except install some gauges).

You can read a little more about it at http://www.alamomotorsports.com

In my experience I have to wonder about when things look too simple. Take a look at the GReddy Rebic IV for instance. I used to have it for providing additional fuel. It looks as simple in appreance as the HKS box, but that thing was so difficult to tune I ended up selling it and installed an SAFC. Like the AFR, the Rebic has only a few knobs as well, but each one did a different number of things depending on if you pushed it, turned it, or used it simultaneously with another button....very confusing to remember when it came tuning time. The LED was pretty much the same, as well, which made it even more confusing since I was relying on only 2 alpha-numeric digits to tell me what all was being programmed into the fuel map.
In my opinion, I would say go with the SAFC. Its working great for me in running my 440cc injectors. The real-time window into the inner workings of the motor, ALONE, is worth the price of the unit.... Its proven to work with our cars and there are a handful of other guys who rely on it, as well, who'd be more than willing to offer help and advice if you run into a problem.
If you still do decide to go with the AFR, be sure to download or somehow look over the directions beforehand to make sure it truly is as simple to tune as it might appear to be......

What are your setting set at? I have posted this question before, and only heard from the ones that have the S-AFC and 440's but not installed. Please let me know. Thanks
