here's the deal, i hit fuel cut and whatever i do i still hit fuel cut. i tried a vc2, it didn't work, i just istalled the missing link, it doesn't work. i changed the MAP sensor, it doesn't work. i still hit fuel cut at 4000 rpms whenever i go into boost. if i keep it under 0psi it'll go past 4000 rpms, but over a few pounds (anything over 3) it goes bizerk. PLEASE, i'm running out of ideas here.

ps here's some more info (history) but i don't think it'll help anymore. it worked at 8psi for about 2 months without a vc2 or vc1 or missing link then my fuel pump line got blocked and i fixed that but then the pump died so it was replaced, after all that i now can't get into boost. i'm not getting any CELs at the moment, just bouncing off of 4000 rpms whenin boost. my a/f guage reads rich until i hit 4000 when it goes WAY red. i'm pissed. any help?

more info: i can rev up to redline in neutral, hitting about 6psi, and it won't hit fuel cut like it does when i'm driving. and my compression is 210 in all 4 cylenders.

The only thing I know is when I installed Kris's kit, the wire came loose off the Map sensor and that happened, reconnected it and it was fine.

i had to add some wire to extend the map sensor wires b/c i kept cutting them and changing MAPs to test it out. i'm on my 3rd MAP in a day and they all work w/ the same results. the wire i used to add more slack to the sensor was about the same size as the current map wiring, and everything is butt-connected together pretty tight.

Try soldering the Map wires.

have you monitored your Map voltage too see what it is hitting? maybe all your voltage clamps were bad or adjusted wrong. other than that maybe your fuel pump is not flowing enough fuel, some restriction in the line somewhere. that's all i can think of. what fuel pump you running? solder your connections together. especially map sensor wires.

yah solder the wires to your map sensor.. if you just use taps that is not going to cut it i did that once because i did not have a solder gun and my car did not run right...solder the wires to your map, and if you can run some wires from that solder point and run it inside the car to a multimeter and check what voltage you are getting once into boost... or if you have a super afc go to sensors etc...

the pump may be the problem, but it's brand new, less than a few weeks old, it's an msd inline mounted below the car but it looks like the lines are ok. could it be ignition? i have the stock plug wires still. the plugs look fine though...and my car has some lightBlack to grey smoke coming out when i floor it (in my drive way, i still can't floor it while i'm driving and expect to go anywhere)...THX FOR THE INFO, keep it coming, i'm going to check the connections on the map again.

and it cuts at exactly 4000 each time, if it were fuel pump/line related wouldn't it run crappy all the time and not just cut out at 4k? and i checked the voltage on the vc2 and it was set to 4.7 exactly, when i checked the voltage of the map sensor (one of them) when the key was in the on position, one wire red 5v (the power wire, green), one wire was ground (black), and the other wire read 4.9 (yellow wire, which i couldn't explain to save my life b/c i thought the max was 4.7). i measured these voltages a few weeks ago when i was trying to get the vc2 to work.

more symptoms: as long as i don't floor the car i can get the boost up to 6 psi AND rev's above 4000, but when i floor it it hits 4k (no matter what boost i have it set at) and my exhaust starts puttering VERY fast and my a/f guage goes from green to red very fast until i let off on the gas. i tried sodering the connections but that wasnt working in the dark, i just reconnected them. hm.

tps maybe? i'm going to change it out now, i've got a spare from a neon.
