k get this!

i shift into 2nd and i hear this loud pop and something shoot out from under my car. i can get into gear but it won't move, just spins the gears. i pull over and walk back to see what fell off. i see a tranny gear lying on the rode. it's about a 3/4" solid steel shaft with a "cone" gear on the end. the shaft snapped and flew OUT of my tranny housing leaving a nice hole. with me going to school full time and a new baby boy in the house i can't afford this anymore. so if i can sell it before i get the $$ to fix i will. cheaper to just get a used tranny and swap the whole thing.

i will consider ANY offer. i'm in portland.

nope i won't have the money for it anytime soon, so as of right now it's for sell.

I hate to see people that have invested so much into their car just sell it like that. And you wont get as much as you put into it. YOu might as well get a new tranny.

I bought my '98 RS, bone stock for $9000. How in the sam hell are you gonna sell that for a mere $7500? You've spent at least, what, $5K-$6K on engine mods alone? Don't do that to yourself, or your car, thats a BIG loss. Take a $2000 loan from the bank if you have to, pay it off over 2 years and swap in a used tranny and a Quaife. Christ!

no i spent over $7000 actually. you will NEVER get what you put into these cars. sorry guys i'm just going to keep my 2nd car and get a bike till i get out of school, then lancer time........so $7500 obo.


btw: you bought your RS for too much.

bought mine for 10k :( but that was like in 97 and kelly blue book was like 9700 or something.

um yeah, 7500 is a HUGE loss. i was looking at autotrader around here and there are '98 eclipses listing for 10-12k, and they're mostly stock. ask more or KEEP IT.

ps about that trade, i think we're a lil far for that to work out to anybody's advantage.

If you were IN cali. or any where near here Id buy your car, fix it and sell my own. Damn it , it hurts to see things like this happen, reminds me of a kid going out to shoot his yeller dog... :(

is there anything else wrong with the car? so it would need a differential and tranny? hmmm.....hopefully soon i'll be settling up my lawsuit, although i was thinking of getting a '70-72 Chevelle, i miss my eclipse and wouldn't mind getting another. if you can send me some pics and detailed info i'd appreciate it. thanks
