OK. this is weird. When i started my car today it sounded like a damn banshee screaming...it was my fuel pump (AUX) on...i have never heard it on before and it doent feel like im getting all the power they claim u get...the fuel pressure idels at 45 but at WOT never goes past 65-70...i wiggled the eiring a lil bit and it went off...also the FP wass at 60 when it was on..is it supposed to be on at all time?
what could it be?

I would definitely re-check your wiring. Did you bring a higher gauge wire directly from the battery to the fuel pump relay?

It might be a good idea to do so.

I find that much of the inline fuel pump's noise comes from either the voltage(or lack thereof) or how much the fuel pump needs to work. It might even have a relationship with what amount of work the stock fuel pump is accomplishing.

I strongly recommend using a voltmeter at the fuel pump to see if you're getting adequate voltage(at both pumps). Also, use a quality relay at that location.

Another thing, the fuel pressure shouldn't at all be effected significantly one way or another by the fuel pump. The fuel pressure is controlled by the FPR and that is it. Whether or not the fuel pump is providing adequate push in the fuel is one thing, but so long as it's maintaining some sort of fuel pressure, I would be much more suspect of the FPR in regards to any fuel pressure question you have. The fuel pressure shouldn't go up or down if both fuel pumps are working properly. If it inexplicably went up after you qiggled the wiring, it might not have been working before that time.

Check your vacuum lines to the FPR for possible problems in regards to fuel pressure.

Quick refresher on fuel pressures:
idle- 47-55 psi
during off boosted driving- ~60 psi
6 psi of boost- ~80-90psi

As you notice from the pic I have a cheap Cartech. It was werid becasue it was the first time i have actually heard the aux pump on...i know everyone says it howls like a banshee...it did..what if i have never heard it on before? It hte aux pump sopposed to run at all times when the other pump is running?
