23544, effects of intercooler
Posted by killhonda666, May-30-02 03:17 PM
This weekend the starion is going on...finally stage 2!!! I dont have a boost controller yet...i was wondering how much the incooler "works." Will my car be quicker at 4 pound intercooled, or 5 pounds not incooled? Im probably not asking this question correctly, but if you can make some sense of my ramblings any responses will be appreciated

Well, there will be a pressure drop of some sort. But then again, your forcing in more 'cooler' air. We all know what that means, cool air = more dense = more power!!!!! Don't qoute me on this, but I've read somewhere (can't remember where) did a test. They measured that non-intercooled air was like 300 something degrees, when they put the intercooler in, that temp. drop to like 70 something. Again, don't qoute me on this. Either way, you are pushing in cooler air. Good luck!!!!!
