i'm just wondering i used to have a Weapon R air intake, Pacesetter header. and with just that i got killed by a 97' Mazda MX-6,what sucked even more was i was with fine girls in the car telling me you can beat him, embarrasing... that's what led me to go turbo.

Twas a saddd day last night. I pulled up against a 98 Mustang GT with god only know what done to it...thought maybe just maybe it was stock...well i got beat by a car length...comes to find out...its an AUTOMATIC!......EmBaRrAsiNg... luckily i didnt even give it half of what it had on takeofff.....i am trading my rims off hopefully :) well maybe today has more light to shine on itself...dont even say anything EclipseRaceR...lol i know i know...this is why im going FMIC ...bottom end kit...Noz

Pretty much everything. Avengers are sleds. Keep in mine we're 300lbs heavier than a 2gt and that = sloooooow.

I got beat by an old school tiburon one time and that was it. I needed forced induction. :)

LOL...twas a sad day indeed for BlackWidow, but twas more trouble with the mother than the Mustang when he got home. :thumbsup

First, a Dodge caravan driven by a soccer mom kept up with me.

Then, a Toyota Camry beat the crap outta me on PCH while cruising with my girlfriend. She laughed for half an hour straight.

Ha I was undefeated. Extreme Motorsports pricing drove me into a turbo kit. I asked how much to buy, install and tune an Apexi SAFC and Cam Gears which required about an hr or two of dyno time. Well after they said something like $1400 I came to realize normal aspiration just wasn't in the cards for me (then after putting the AFC in myself I cant believe what they would have charged me). The price of turbo kit install also drove me to be a turbo kit installer.

after she left me a few times on a straight, I made up my mind to get off of my ass and put that kit on.

Haven't looked back since.

hmm I don't think car that beat me inspired me of going turbo, I loved my car NA it was fun hehe. When I was doing my job training for the army I went to the library to use the internet after doing PT and I saw Wyatt's group buy so I figured man it would save me a lotta money and I could have that turbo that I always wanted.

Hehe on the old board I read this one post from one of the turbo guys (yep no too many of them back then) about him keeping up with a Cobra on the freeway and the dude asked him on the freeway what he had in it and he just said 2GNT and then evntually said that it was a 2GNT turbo. Haha that's what got me thinkin.

Hey all. I'm new here. I've been over at ASOG for a while (I'm the proud owner of a '98 5spd Avenger). I plan to hit up the HRC Stage 2 toward the end of this summer.

I've been pasted pretty badly by a lot of stuff. The one that put me over the edge was this auto V6 Stang that my buddy owns. The Venge isn't anywhere near as fast as it looks... Yet. :)

Nobody around here has respect for the RS/GS or any 420A engines. Needless to say I was the 1st and the haters now just keep their foot of the gas and don't bother trying to catch up.

I lost to a 91 honda civic dx ~shakes head~ the next day i got the nitrous then desided to sell the nitrous and get the star stage 1. Needless to say I have been looking for the civic ever since lol.

Have any of you guys who posted so far got any 1/4 mile times? I'm a little curious as to what these cars can do. I know I remember someone in the War Stories forum having a 9.0 1/8 mile in their sig, which translates to around a 14 flat 1/4 mile, give or take three tenths.

Has Bill been running the RS lately? Whats going on with it? 25G and the spray????

As for members who have ran their cars....there isn't that many that are track proven. I know many of us are either still putting our cars togehter(like in my case), or are still getting the bugs worked out. But, if I can remember correctly, there are a few that have posted some timeslips in the past...

I know there are many more I'm forgetting, but those were a few off the top of my head. Armond has yet to take his car to the track but has dyno'd 400.8hp and 408ft.lbs of torque at the wheels. The potential is there, it has been proven, and will continue to be improved on.... :)
