for those who didn't know, i finally started getting fuel cut at above 4psi or so for the last few weeks. i've been taking it easy sitting at 3psi and not doing anything to hurt anything. my CEL has been on, throwing the MAP code. my car ran fine up to about 4psi though, so until then the map didn't initiate fuel cut at 4k rpms. after that psi level i hit 4k rpms like a brick wall. i assumed that i wouldnt have to buy a new MAP sensor since i was getting a vc2 that would clamp the voltage so that the ecu only saw 0psi. it wouldn't know the MAP was bad after 4psi b/c it would never see that...right? apparently not because i hooked up the vc2 and i still hit fuel cut over 4psi. i changed the wireing, still hit fuel cut. do i just need a new map sensor?
