Just got it last night. Thought it was the FCD wires that got disconnected, because that's what happened last time and we got a CEL. Started her normally, and got a few boosted runs, no fuel cut so i know that wasn't it. Car runs normal. I was also thinking that my O2 sensor was shot, but I'm getting normal reading, maybe a little rich. It's funny how the CEL just appeared outta nowhere. It's been about 2 weeks now of boosting and it happened just yesterday. It was kindda cool last night though, I don't think that has to do anything with it. I spoke to JasonEsiT on AIM and his guess was the damn evap code or something like that. I've heard there is no way to get rid of that light except taking out the bulb. Oh yeah, can't do keydance cuz it's a 99. Oh well, I guess I gotta wait for Fast420A (Kyle) to get his palm datalogger kit.

Reset the code and see if it comes back. I got the evap code out of nowhere but after I reset it never come back.

i believe that auto zone , advance auto, and other places like them will do free engine diagnostics for you. try em out

Yeah Autozone is doing free CEL checks now. I got the datalogger but I think they sent me the wrong OBD cable since the wires on the harness don't line up with the pins on the cable.

Yeah, if it is the Evap code, then there is no way to get rid of it. I've heard that if you reset the ECU, it will go away for a while, then rear its ugly ass later.

what does the EVAP CEL mean? what is wrong?

I think it has to do with emissions or some shit like that. Don't qoute me on that though!!!!!
