Wazzup guys I've been driving around for the past 2 weeks at 15 lbs I don't hear any signs of detonation my egt are at 1500 at full throttle in the long third gear pull.I'm really surprised because I didn't think my fuel setup was good enough. I have the wallbro 255lph pump, the vortech S-FMU and the ford motorsport 30lb injectors for my fuel setup, my compression is 8:5 weisco pistons on stock rods. I've taken it up to 16lbs my EGT were still 1500 and and my air/ fuel ratio was all the way in the green. I still have enough room to add more fuel if I wanted with my S-FMU.I'm tring to get my EGT to 1510 to 1530 to get more power. I'm so happy with these Weisco pistons. and i'm also happy I don't need a S-AFC.There is no signs of detonation either.I don't even have my water injection hooked up. I'm tuned for 91 octane. I guess I'll keep it at 15lbs and below because I'm still running on stock rods. I'm gonna be heading to LACR in palmdale FRiday to see what I run in the 1/4 mile.the funny thing is that last time I ran at LACR I ran a 14:8 at 97mph at 11lbs of boost at 97mph shouldn't I be at least mid 14z. the elevation sucks up here too in palmdale. ()

I forget what turbo you're running, are you still on the t25 or did you upgrade?? I know a guy over here on east coast with star kit that ran 14.8 on like 4.5 psi. (correct me if i'm wrong)

Yes, with that high of a mph you could hit 14.5's or lower with the same set-up. With that being said, now that you are at 15psi, your mph should at least be up around 100mph. And depending on what kind of traction you can get, high 13's are POSSIBLE. But you know how hard it is to get traction!

i got a 14.5 at 96 mph the last time i was at the track, but everything was going wrong, i'm still in the process of replacing ALL my sensors

I got a 14.3 @ 96.5 mph. So you see what is possible at 96mph. Its all in the driver.

i have actually gotten a 14.5@99mph on 10psi.....it's all about traction and controlling your wheelspin off the line....i had bad front camber and cheap ass tires...i've fixed both of these and it's made a world of difference for me at the street races...i hang with 13second cars no prob now.....the next time i go the the track i should be running at least 15psi......

Me too. Next time I am at the track I am going to run 15psi and hopefully run a low 13. I cant wait!!!!

I got an extra Tranny, block, and head the only reason I think my stock clutch is holding up is because I get boost creep. Ist gear goes from 8 to 10lbs , second gear goes from 8 to 13lbs third gear goes from 9 to 15lbs quick my tubular manifold is too long I guess, I think I need a log style manifold for a street setup. I run an external wastegate on my 16g. A Raizain fiberimage up here in palmdale has a double hump carbon fiber hood itz a protoype though. I don't know why I get boost creep so bad, maybe its my deltagate thatz causing the problem.

what are you using as a boost controller?

I bought my deltagate used the guy said it had a 9 to 13lb spring in it I have no boost controller. I increase the boost by tightening the screw down on top of the wastegate

I heard that screw if for like adjusting boost creep or something and wasn't really meant to controll boost. If you want a cheap boost controller go on ebay and type Manual Boost controller and you'll find a whole buncha homemade ones hehe. Got mine for 20 bux. :)

Hades is right. The screw on the wastegate is not for boost adjustment. The load spring is for controlling boost spike/creep and what not. I wouldn't be fiddling with that thing too much :P That's probably the culprit of your boost creep. Go in the garage and tighten that sucker back down. Find the spot where it opens up right and optimally vents that x-tra boost. Then buy a boost controller and start changing your psi. Good luck...Later

So basically I got to back off on the deltagate screw because it is almost all the way screwed in. back it off and try to get a steady boost level in every gear than use a boost controller? so once I get the deltagate steady in every gear, than go ahead and use a boostcontroller to up the boost is this correct. because I wanna boost 15 in every gear not just third and 4th gear.

Go to ACE Hardware store and buy a total of $7.44 in parts including a bleeder valve. Works wonders for a mbc for me.

i'll try to get one for you, i sold my digi cam to skrilla (is he still around?) before i moved up here. if you look under your hood you'll see 2 spaces right over the turbo (between the hood braces) i cut those and put black screen in (my car is black). then there is another space right over the intake for the turbo, right in front of the hump in the hood. looks damn cool too.
