Ok so i finally found the culprit that ruined my dyno runs. It seems like in the general area of the throttle body, its leaking MAJORLY after 10psi. I suppose its the gasket, but I am curious about a problem Armond had with his car when the throttle body itself was leaking. Has he found a solution for that yet??

I just hope its the gasket. That's easy to fix....

I had the same problem with my other TB.. i took it off, and recently dismantled it. There is a very thin rubber o-ring that sits around the IAC, and a metal and rubber gasket for the throttle shaft. My suggestion would be to remove both sensors and throw some Ultra Black around both of them, then re-install. You can't expect a cheapo rubber o-ring to hold 10lbs of pressure...

Ok like i thought it would happen, the culprit is not the gasket. If i pressurize the system to 10psi, i start hearing the hissin noise come out of the T/B, but if i wiggle the shaft from the t/b, the noise fluxuates, which means the leak is coming from that shaft (i.e. TPS sensor or the side of the shaft that the return spring is attached to).

Dang and i JUST sold a spare t/b. And this is my gude overbored t/b too =(

That doesn't mean you can't fix it just like i described. it's probably leaking on the TPS side, jusy Ultra Black the back of the sensor and plaster it on.

man, i really need to check for boost leaks i guess... pressurize it to whatever boost you run i suppose?

so how do you pressurerize the system. I know i'm etting a boost leak from my exhuast manifold but I never thouht the throttle body could be the problem. Hehe my car choked on the dyno too hehe...

I never found a fix for it :(. there is no seal that I know of on the spring side of the throttle shaft :(. just metal to metal. My leak wasn't really big 'though. just annoying. IF you are leakign a "lot" I would suspect a gasket

Its a 5$ mod to do this. I'll post pics of my ghetto rigged pressurizer cap. It tests pressure between the turbo compressor inlet all the way to the cyl head. It wont test the exhaust manifold though, sorry.
