Hey i have enough money to buy the turbo now, im planning to get the star stage II ball bearing and planned to get the rods and pistons later and I was wondering how much can it take without problems

I asked HRC before cuz i really want to boost high, well he gave me a good answer, but didn't say how much our motor could take all he said was they have RS thats running 11's with just the pistons and rods, do any of you guys know how much boost its running.

We run about 26 PSI boost on the RS to achieve those numbers. Stage V setups from us are a proven way to get all the components you need to do this yourself in one coordinated system.

My valve cover seems to be leaking from the back right corner and now a little sepage from everywhere.(not much though).I think its my headgasket leaking so should I buy a copper one? They have em at headgasket.com for 100 bucks.(forgot how thick it was). I was told that if im going to do the HG mind as well put on cam gears and Pulley to0 since im at 53000k.



Second, Get a Good cat back exhuast system(since i stil lhave a stock exhuast system) ...which is like 500 already


3rd...get 4 new tires (my tires are bald ;P)

Copper headgaskets are not the best bet for a street driven car, as they can lead to long-term water seepage issues. Go with the MLS gasket available from your local friendly Dodge dealer. We have yet to hirt one in our 500 to 600 HP engines. Save the money on cam gears: the HP gained per dollar is quite low.

Definitely get a cat-back exhaust: the stock exhaust will strangle the car with a turbo.

Tires are definitely important....well, looks like I am well past your $500 goal now, so I will sign off!

Dude, I say fix your problems, before you start upgrading parts that work. I agree with HRC, you definately need an upgraded exhaust, but I say get your headgasket fixed, and if you have any left over put it toward some new rubber.

Get the tires. The other stuff can come later. I can't stress the importance of good tires enough: I have almost totalled my car bacause of lack of rubber, and several people i've seen post have done it as well. Our cars don't take well to wet, and if you have little or no tread, well, it's hard to pull out of a 65MPH backwards spin on the freeway on a rainy day. I can understand the need for speed, i've got that bug myself, but please do yourself a favor and get those tires, if only so i don't have to read about another 2gnt'er pulling a Dino into another concrete barrier...

So what your saying is get a MSL gasket, Pulley, Cat BAck, tires but dont get cam gears because they isnt much gain from em?


Hmm is there anything wrong with driving with a bad HG? or is it something that should be fix imediately? coz if not, I think im going to go with a cat-back exhuast system. The tires can wait because only the back 2 are bald.


btw-when should spark plugs be changed and what do you gap those things at?

The most common thing I've seen on drivng on a bad had gasket is an overheated and warped head (especially aluminum). I also had a friend who's blown head gasket eventually killed the engine all together. You need to find out if thats the problem first. If it is fix it right away or risk further damage driving on it. If its something else (valve cover gasket or less significant leak) then you can hold off. On the other hand my girlfriend drove on a blown neon head gasket for months and months and all that was required was a new head gasket and to have the head resurfaced.

When i wrecked my car, my fronts were brand new, and the rears were bald. The back end has very little weight and it is easy for it to lose traction, especially with wet roads. The back end of my car came loose at 70MPH in a light drizzle on a straight freeway, fishtailed, and spun me a full 180* when the fronts hit a dry spot. i hit a concrete barrier backwards at 65MPH.. driver's side. $6800.54 in damage. KEEP RUBBER ON THOSE TIRES!!

okay after looking at my tires...seems only 1 in the rear is bald as hell. Thanks for the concern dino(and others) but I was thinking of tires last. I mean I have been driving it on raining days now for like 2 weeks and no probs.

Bro listen to us...GET THE TIRES! I can't stress safety enough. I lost one of my platoon sargeant last week in a car accident. Think Safety man. I had 600 dollars to spend a few months ago and instead of buying some fun stuff for the car, I got me some Toyo Touring. SAFETY.

Tires are good. Safety is good. Though, I believe your headgasket problems are coming from the fact that you are turbocharged and running through a stock exhaust.
