I have a chance to get a brand new stock GSX turbo for $100, just the turbo, no manifold, piping...ect...I need to know if I can put a GSX manifold on my NT and if it requires any major modification? If anyone knows, i would appreciate the help...Thanks guys

hmm....i would say not really about the whole manifold thing. Please refer to the forum of things we've seen before. This will save you tons of time and agrivation.

The turbo your refering to is a T-25, or a 14B. That is a hell of a deal. But to answer your question,...NO the manifold wont even come close. You need a turbo manifold custom made. Then you need a TON of parts to complete the kit! If I were you I would get the turbo, then sell it on ebay for like $200, especially if it is brand new. Now if I were me, I would buy the turbo, get a manifold made, add a few othere parts and have a custom turbo :)

actually...correct me if i'm wrong but about a year ago i think tommyboy from the board here, put a 14b on our stock manifold by welding on a flange and loosing the a/c to make room. so maybe it can be done.

but yeah, getting a manifold made for it would be much more reliable and you'd have room to work with.

It is possible because Wheatking did something very similar like a year ago.

there is a lot that goes in to a custom turbo set up, not just making the manifold (we are talking fuel, oil, and many other things that need to be addressed). If you want to put a turbo on your car and don't know much about what a turbo is and how it works, I suggest you do some research, hang around and read the old posts. Once you know what is involved you can then choose to either make a custom set up or go with one of the already made kits.

Well, I don't plan on installing this thing myself. I can get my friends that work at a shop to do it for me. I just don't wanna buy this turbo and then find out I can't install it.

For only a 100.00 dollar turnaround in profit, i wouldnt even worry about buying it. Do more research. Really consider buying a kit. This is so much easier than piecing one together ( in my experience). Buy a kit. Do not buy the stock turbo , to just resale for a couple of bucks. Thats my 2 cents! Goodluck !

In order to install this turbo in a reliable system, you will also need upgrades with fuel delivery, fuel management, piping, smaller wastegate actuator, gauges, couplers, clamps, fuel cut defenser, filters, custom manifold, gaskets, etc etc.

Are you sure you want to go through all of that? There is a whole lot more involved in making a turbo work on your engine than bolting it to the exhaust manifold.
