21191, pics of cai on my turbo.... Posted by brynden29, May-03-02 07:01 AM
Yes, I have a cai and a turbo. When people ask what I have I am just going to say,"I have a cai, new exhaust mani, ignition, plugs, wires, and exhaust." }>

let me know what you think. I can not take all the credit, Jason (iamnotwhoiam) did most of the cutting and connecting.

Looks alot cleaner than mine. I take it you used your old AEM intake.
I used my stage one piping and just hacked it up and have it pointed straight down right behind the left fog light.
I swear, the CAI works...:P I tell all my friend that I have onle a CAI and exhaust only.

So does it work...I was gonna do that with my akimoto one but I think there might be more lag cuz the air is trying to get sucked in thru the turbo as fast as pssible and with the pipe it might be a lil restrictive. what u guys think?

I was acctually thinking on this the other day i tried to use my old akimoto short ram. I couldn't seem to find a good fit to get it in there mabye if i cut some things off of it i could make it work. so semper if you find a way to make yours work let a brother know

Sorry but I don't c how this is going to give you any xtra power. as the air gets compressed it will heat up anyways that is why we have the IC. there is no difference if the air you suck in is a bit cooler since it will get hot when compressed anyways.

Cooler intake air before compression will theoretically result in a lower charge temperature at the compressor outlet.
