Since the Stratus 2.4L block will bolt to 420a head can I use the 420a rebuild in the stratus block?? Im sure the american rebuild kit for the stratus would be a bit cheaper than the eclipse. I also think the .4 extra liters will add around 60hp more by itself. Also, that way I can rebuild it without a time frame of getting it done. I can take my time and make sure everything is right, and the machine shop can take their time as well. Does anyone know FOR SURE???

Theoretically yes, but remember, the intake and exhaust camshafts are oriented oppositely from a 2GNT, so make sure and re-orient the cams in the right direction.

*IS* there a stratus rebuild kit? or even rebuild PARTS? This is my problem... I have access to a 2.4 block, I found strong rods for $700, should be able to use regular old 2.0 JE pistons, but don't you also have to use the mexican turbo cams? (well, for turbo anyways)
Anyone know how to get a hold of mexican parts? Or can I just totally retain my stock cams and head?

The 2.4 and 2.0 cams are definitely different too!
See: http://www.fwdmopar.com/sites/dennis/factsrumorslies.html ... down near the bottom. (NEON 2.0/2.4 SPECS!)
The 2.0 is 219/219 & 0 deg. overlap; 2.4 is 232/240 & 9 deg. overlap

The 2.4 420a was, AFAIK, made from Dec 1994 thru 1999. It came in minivans, cloud cars, pt cruisers, and sebring sedans... altho I'm uncertain if some of these were avail. in the USA.
