Posted by pocotheeskimo, May-01-02 03:47 PM
Hello,
I'm in search of a block, crankshaft, and anything else i might need in order to get it bored/honed so I can do an easy swap and save on downtime.. Also, any info on this is greatly appreciated (like what parts I'll need with the block).. Thanks guys.

go to car-parts.com, and search under Engine block for our application. thats where i found an extra one no ttoo long ago. it was only 100 bucks for the shortblock, which is what you need. it has the block itself, pistons, rods, and crankshaft. pistons and rods dont matter, cause u wont use em, and im guessing you would wanna bore the cylinder walls over.

I have my old block. It has about 90,000 miles on it. It is complete. I did the same thing, I bought a block over the internet and rebuilt it. The only thing is, the one I bought was all f-ed up. It took the machinist a ton of time to bore it. I know where my block came from and the condition it is in. The #3 piston compression was really low, like 125 psi. But it is perfect for a rebuild. I am asking 200 plus shipping. That is a little more than you can find one for on the net, but how much do you know about those other blocks, I know where this one came from and how it was treated.

I'll take 150 and you have to pay for shipping. I have one other guy that wants it but whoever pays first it is theirs.

Here's a complete neon engine. Block's the same as ours.
