20683, star stage 1 up and running
Posted by fabry827, Apr-27-02 08:54 AM
I just spent all of yesterday and a couple hours today putting my kit one. it's a star stage 1 w/ greddy type-s. I did it all myself too, except for the 5o things my dad had to help me weld. I can't believe how much stuff is outta wack the way it comes. We relocated the oxy snsor, routed the dump tube into the downpipe, bent the down pipe to clear the oil pan, and moved the bov flange. It's running great too. Egt's aren't hot, afr looks good, and im getting about 5.5 psi. Man, it's like a completely different car.
oh yeah, I've readd about people arguing over what was better, the hks super seq bov or the greddy, and i can't really say much about the hks seeing that i don't have one, but i love the grddy. It sounds really cool. It isn't ungodly loud or anything, but you can really hear it. I didn't mess w/ the adj screw, but it must be set fairl soft. It holds boost perfect, but it even goes off at a vacuum s9ome. how? I have no idea. But, well, I just wanted to let you guys know that you have a new turbo 420A joining the ranks, later, justin

Yeah, thanks for pointing that out man! It feels great to have this all installed and taken care of. Now it's time to find a starion ic and make some piping. later, justin
