20538, Oil Sending Unit Removal Posted by Nitrous_RS1997, Apr-25-02 09:07 AM
Anyone removed the oil sending unit without the actual socket used for it? im guessing its millimeter, cause 1" is too small and 1 1/16 is too big. thanks for any help or advice. this is a LOT easier withthe engine out of the car!

I used a 1 1/16" to remove the oil sending unit on my '97 GS.

Me too, 1 1/16 inch deep well. Also the deep well socket was deeper than the 1 1/16 inch oil sender socket I saw.

hehe make sure you tighten that thing steadily. I broke mine and tried to glue it back together. Haha it blew up on me one day!
