i found these on their site. http://www.magnaflow.com/03cat-back/xlturbomuffler/xlturbomuffler.htm
you can get em for like 40 bucks and the muffler shop will do 2.5 catback piping for 100 bucks. thats a pretty cheap catback...how do you think it would perform/sound w/ my stage 2?
thanks Joe

Thats not a low restiction muffler so you are kind of defeating the purpose. I would say since you are turboed, get a Pacesetter catback for the piping. It's mandrel bent instead of crush bent piping. Then get a nice straight through universal muffler and have it welded to the pacesetter piping inplace of the pacesetter muffler. You may also want to purchase a $15 "cherry bomb" glass pack muffler to replace the pacesetter resonator since some people do not like the way it sounds with the universal mufflers.

are the pacesetter exhausts SS? if not won't they rust rather quickly?

Pacesetter piping is just painted steel. It holds up alright though. I put my piping on back in '97. I will have to replace it soon. Its a cheap and convenient way to get mandrel piping even if it only lasts a few years.
As for the muffler, I would go with: http://www.magnaflow.com/03cat-back/03aluminized/03aluminized.htm I don't remember what model # I have, but it is a "straight through" perforated inner pipe, oval body, offset 2.5" in/out muffler. Read the "wide open performance" link for details. These mufflers aren't cheap...mine was $74+install. They sound nice and flow very well. Your exhaust turbine will make the sound level tolerable (on NA applications, these mufflers are LOUD).

Yeah get a muffler that's straight through design. The magnaflow I got is like that 3 inch inlet and outlet straight through design. It looks butt ugly but it gets the job done. Freakin loud though...
