one of the bad things about makin it that was is that u could end up with loose turbines, the fact that it isn't new, no tech service or warrenties, and u gotta find all the gaskets, and u still need a IC and piping :) boost controllers, and some other stuff like BOV. Good luck tho, got all the main parts there. Lemme know where u got all that stuff from!

You do know that you need to rotate the chra in order for the oil to drain right? You can rotate the compressor side but then the WG won't line up so you'll need to do both sides. Is that one of Alain's manifolds? Looks like it.

Yea zip ties rock! I do have a bov, its a 1g(its in the picture, all the gaskets are too). The only parts your not seeing there is my IC (starion)and my FPR, and that is just cause they arent here yet! (Accually the IC I just found out about last night, guy emailed me but I havent heard back yet). Local semi truck shop is doing my oil lines for like $50!
If you look closely you will see that the turbo IS rotated! Yea its one of his manifolds.

The pic of the turbo on the porch is how it will be mounted on the car. Look where the drain line is pointing, to the front of the car. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong but in that pic that's how I see it. That's how the turbo is arranged stock on a 2G.

*edit* I guess the porch pic is before you got it rotated. I didn't realize that was your sig pic. BUT the way you have it mounted on the manifold, the oil drain is facing UP.

It is not quite pointing "up" but it shouldn't be a problem. Another couple of weeks and I should be able to mount this up!

If it's not pointing pretty close to straight down then the oil will not drain. It will pool up inside the turbo and ruin your seals.

Trust me it could be horrible if the oil is not going out
this turbo looks like it still has the stock orientation and it's bad

you will need to slack all the bolts that are holding the turbo together and rotate the center section 90 degres facing toward the wastegate controller so the oil drain flange will be the rod of the wastagate activator

I checked around on this and your right I need the oil drain pointing downward. Should be easy enough, I'm gonna have it done tonight! Thanks guys.

At the same time try to reorient the output of the compressor housing because you could too close of the radiator fan

Don't lie alain you know I made it :p j/k. But I had the same manifold that Alain made you and a t-25. That's why I looked real close to make sure you rotated it cause I remember I had to.

BTW you won't be able to re-position the compressor side. If you did then the WG won't line up. That's why you only rotate the chra to line up the oil drain.

Well its all lined up good, just need to spin the center section around. I think I'll do that this weekend at my dad's house (he has a full shop).
I just did some math and added up my totals (this is what I have paid so far minus the exhaust work, and I left out the cheap shit like gaskets, tape, zip ties, band aids, and the such).

Downpipe, innercooler, and all my plumbing estimated at about at $120 at least that is what the shop said.

So to date my total out of pocket is going to be about $1300
by the time I'm finished.

1300? I think it might've been better to go with a star stage 1. I got mine for about 1800 but I got hella options with it so it went up to like 2700. Even though I got mine group buy I think the star kit prices have dropped over the years. Even though it costs a little more and is no intercooled the star kit would have much higher quality parts. Just my opinion.

Custom setups have been done before just I've never seen it last that long without any problems.

Downpipe and intercooler aren't gonna be that cheap. You got Starion intercooler so if you wanna make it decent you should have it fabricated to properly fit onto our cars. Cost me like 100 to mod my 5 dolla starion IC. Downpipes aren't so easy to make also. Hope your getting a mandrel bent one, you gotta put flanges on it also and bolts. more $$$$ Get a flex section for it also. Did you take into account for a boost gauge also, you must have a boost gauge. That'll set you back bout 50 bux. WHat year is your car? You'll need a FCD if your 96+.

Im a 95 so I won't need the fuel cut thing. As for the piping, and flex seciton, my down pipe is only going to be about 18 inches long. The shop I'm taking it to is going to mate it to my header. Even if I needed the flex thing (it is only like 25$ at jcwhitney), the shop said it would still only be like $25 dollars to weld, and pipe it. And NO I'm not getting mandril bends. I am not really happy about it but, it is what I have to live with. As for the gauges, I already got em. Boost-Vac. and AF. I also have a super afc.
Now here is the best one......I probly would have gone and bought a HAHN kit, but I am POOR! Shit I got other bills to pay, car payment, insurance, rent, water, sewer, garbage, credit card, food ect, ect, I can't aford to just blow 1800$ in one shot. This way I don't hit the pocket book so hard. Not to mention I just got a bill from my dentist for almost 2k! Ahhhhh I hate the dentist!

Haven't gotten it installed just yet. Still waiting on the FMIC and I'm having a bit of trouble with the turbo sitting up too high. I may have to have Alian's maifold modded to acomoidate the T25 a bit more. It fits up to the block and the turbo PERFECT though. It is just where the turbo is positioned that I'm having the problem with.
As for fuel delivery I have a walbro 255, and a super afc, I am kinda looking around for a set of better injectors too.
