How much boost is ok to run on stock deferential and axles???

I have my stage 4 broke in and ready for boost. I still have to install the DFI, 625’s, and Crane. I Turned it up to about 13psi for a few runs down a long street by my house and all I can say is boost is good but better at high psi! I thought that 5-6 b lbs was fast. (Nope) 13lbs is faster. I can’t wait to get everything else on and run some real boost:- 25-30:-

I don’t think I am going to be able to order my quaife or axles for a month or so. How much boost can the stokers take after I get all my other goodies on?

Thanks

Well I broke a Stage 3 axle last week at 15psi. Avoid wheel hop like the plague, and they might make it until you get the quaife and axles. If not, they're easy to change. :7

that is either the wrong question, or it is worded wrong. the "real" answer to your question is probably 45-50 psi. There are several things that contribute to breaking drivetrain parts outside of shear power. I think I will do a writeup on my site about it in a few min. in the technical section. check there at about 9:30 or so.

I have always heard the stock diff cant be trusted over 300-350hp.... same w/ the axles, but again, it all depends on traction... if you hookup good, you'll break stuff quicker than if your spinning, unless your getting wheel hop, that will destroy both of the above very quickly... I dont have axles yet due to the $$$$ part of it, hehe, plus I have ran over 25psi on the stockers and not broke em yet... i'll keep my fingers crossed... i'm sure with the addition of new parada spec-2 tires, motor mounts, quaife lsd, and cm stg 4 clutch... that I will probably hookup better and join the broken axle(s) club...

I just finished a writeup on drivetrain breakage. read it on my site. www.armond30.com it is close to the bottom in the technical section. I hope it answers everyones questions on "breakage" or at least inspires a "better" theory.
