If anyone is interested in new injectors to go with their Super AFC (like I am) then I may have a good way to save some money. Just found out that the 2Gen RX-7 Non Turbo's came with 460cc injectors. If you found a Turbo model, they come with 550cc injectors which are good upto about 420hp. Hell, the 1Gen RX-7's came with 680cc injectors. All this info is coming from different automotive sites...

FYI, the MK3 Supra ('86.5 to '92) turbo came with 440cc injectors.

All these vehicles can be found at almost evry decent junkyard. I/m sure someone could "pocket" these and not pay more than a couple bucks (to cover admission) for a "new" set of infectors.

I don't know how well this will work or if it is even worth it. Why doesn't everyone add what you think about this...

Yes, I'm in a market for larger injectors soon since I paid for my SAFC...

If those injectors are the saturated kind (if it will work for our vehicle) then why not use them?!?! Then it would be a good deal to get!!

Isn't the saturated variety an American type of injector.

The peak and hold which are incompatible are Asian injectors. Many of the cars you have mentioned are Asian, thereby deducing that they come with peak and hold. OF course, this is all specualtion. Anyhow, maybe we should look into some Ford Mustangs or something for some bigger saturated injectors??

The difference between injectors types is hi resistance (peak and hold) and low resistance (saturated). As long as you run with a S-AFC from what I understand, it can control both types.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

It says that saturated injectors CAN be found in Japanese cars too...so if we are able to find saturated injectors with the correct o ring type, then we are in business???

I was looking in the newest Summit racing catalog ang they have a set of Ford Racing injectors for the Mustang that flow 30lb/hr for 219.95 for a set of 8. That comes to $27.50 per injector. 2 people could go into a joint purchase and share the cost... much cheaper than RCEngineering and they are brand new. Only thing is that I have no idea what 30lb/hr equates to cc wise (a measurement I am familiar with).

30 lb/hr * 10.50 = 315 cc / min

If they are 315cc injectors, the stock ECU should be able to control the Ford Injectors... that's a big question though for me since I don't know for sure if our stock ECU can handle an injector larger than the stock 234cc's...

Maybe someone could enlighten me... PLEASE!!!!

Since you are trying to save money and use other car injectors, let me save you the trouble. Look under the hood of a GM. Mine are from a LT1 corvette....

Something else to keep in mind, factory injectors on V-8 engines are small. They do have 8 of them after all. It is not as necessary to use large injectors.

Oh, you will run into lbs/hr instead of cc's when looking so it is essential to know how to convert. simple. x-lbs/hr*10.5=y
