19594, Who all is useing in-line pumps? Posted by Nitrous_RS1997, Apr-11-02 09:03 AM
Just wondering who is useing one. im not...just the walbro 255 in-tank. ill be upping the boost to around 20psi and will most likely be getting one, but at 15psi the walbro seems to be doing fine.

do you really NEED that much fuel though? unless you plan on turning the boost WAY up... :-) which ya should do Dino! i just have a friend with the star kit, intank walbro 255(same as i use), Accel 30lb injectors, and he runs 10-12psi without any problems, and no inline. oh yeah Dino, are not ever on IM or something? i have you SN "DarkOne95" on my buddy list but i never see you on. id like to be able to BS with ya every now and then.

Dark0ne95 not DarkOne95. It's a zero not the letter O.

Well I got the airtex inline and it's mega rich, for 20 psi sounds like a good idea to have an extra pump and some fat ass injectors. Haha mine looks like a bomb.
How'd urs die mitseclipse? Pumps are pretty expensive to be killin them.

the shop is paying for all of it. one of the reasons i got a custom kit w/ a full warrantee...i have no idea what happened. at first they thought it was my stock pump which had died and my pump was whining b/c it was carring all the load, NOPE. they unplugged it and the car ran. it's getting replaced next week and HOPEFULLY i'll have some 8psi+ dyno charts for you guys to checkout
my pump is below my car in a wierd place, i COULD have hit it but there was no marks on the skidplate...the lines are really tight in there too, and i think i had a pinched line, which made it work harder, which killed it. it's been making funny noises every since they put it on. john (yelloweclipse) will attest to that if he reads this post.

Walbro aqnd Accel inline here. But you probably only need one or the other if you're using bigger injectors. Use both if you have fuel pressures that exceed 100 psi.
