Ok, first i wanna know how much boost is SAFE to run on a star stage 1 with no intercooler? I'll be getting an intercooler within the next few weeks but until then.... Also my friend has a RSX Type S he thinks is the fastest car ever made, i was wondering if i'd be able to bet him in a 1/4 mile? I'm a/t so that'll prolly slow me down a little. Right now for mods he has an intake (not sure what kind), and a revolution muffler on stock piping, by the time the track opens, i should have my stage 1, brospeed cat-back, 55mm throttle body, and some small stuff(plugs wires, breather filter etc...). Do you guys think i can beat him? Thanks

well, 5lbs is like 175-200chp.. i think....
dunno how heavy the crx is, or how receptive that engine is to mods, but the rsx prolly has ~210 w/ i/e chp...

i wouldnt be the first time out, maybe a scintilla(ha) no more than a Cnote ;-)

I know GSX's that can beat lightly modded type R's.. but lose to a lightly modded integra GSR cuz the driver got skills.

but IMO... stage 1 is a little short.. stage 2 will be a nice race though.

the only one I knew the answer to was the boost one, I'm trying to be as informative as possible man! I'm not gonna start blurting stuff I don't know, so I simply tell what I do

You'd better beat him... those cars really aren't that fast are they?
If I put a turbo on my car and got beat by a car without one (with the exception of like corvettes etc..), I would be pissed.

well then you better prepare to get pissed. just cuz you have a turbo doesn't mean you dominate the streets. i mean hell, ford probes had a turbo model :P as far as are RSX Type S's fast, you're damn right they are. stock they put out 200hp and they're running an 11:1 compression ratio. not to mention the new and improved iVTEC which i don't really know is any better than the previous but VTEC in of itself is praiseworthy. no matter what the worthless "i hate hondas just cuz" people say. they never felt VTEC engaging in a highly modded Type-R before :P and to top it off the Type S doesn't stop revving until it hits a measely 7900 rpm's. i say with a stage one he's gonna get you most likely unless you are a far superior driver. as far as Type-R's, GSX's, and Turbo'd 420A's go. when they are all moderately to highly modified the 420A and the GSX are pretty neck and neck all in all as long as the 4G63 is still fiddling with the T-25 or whatever. the Type-R however puts a hurtin' on both. i know because my two best friends have those exact cars and i of course the stage two. good luck though if you race :P
