Well it's not Joe P. it's Joe A. but that's alright. I think you probably got me mixed up with Joe Park, who hasn't been on here for a while now. I got my head gasket from the same place that Chris got his actually. It's thru a place here in Atlanta called Wilder Performance. I don't know the number off-hand but I'm pretty sure that Chris knows it. I also saw that Summit racing has started to carry copper head gaskets. It may be worth it to give them a call while your at it. If I can help you out with anything else, just let me know. Later. Good to know Joe. BTW, did you install the headgasket yourself or did you have the shop install it?
How much did they charge if you don't mind?
Thanks a lot!

Jason, I installed the gasket myself. All the shops around here wanted like $400 to do stuff like that. Locke, I hope that I am who you were looking for. Chris knows me pretty good, so I don't know why he would say Joe P. Let me know if I can help any more guys. Later. I paid $200 for mine because it is so thick (.125). But you can get one which is .040 for around $100 +/-. I got mine so thick because my head was shaved so I wanted to make up for that when I turbo'd. Joe 97 GS w/ Hahn stage 2 Keep cruisin' & keep the shiny side up. http://joeseclipse.homestead.com

Hehe. I said Joe A. Maybe. I am sure I did. I think Locke needs a grammer checker. The main reason your name came up joe is because we were discussing a thivker head gasket on the stock bottom end to lower compression as an extra margin of safety to let him run 10psi on the street in time. I did not recall whta the thicvkness of your gasket was, but I forgot about the shaved head. Mine is nothing special, just stock thickness. I honestly do not know if we can get any anymore now that Wilder has changed hands. We would have to check with John who works there.

Yeah Locke, I've been running 12/13 psi since I put the kit on. I figured if it was gonna blow then I was gonna run it hard until it did. No probs though and yes it feels great! I am building the bottom end now however. I figure I tempted fate this long and I have my car apart anyway due to my clutch change, so I may as well go ahead and do it. I want to try and keep up with Chris :D Joe 97 GS w/ Hahn stage 2 Keep cruisin' & keep the shiny side up. http://joeseclipse.homestead.com
