i raced this 96 gst on 5psi with my star staage 2 , on a roll he can put a bumper to a half a car,,, he told me he was bone stock, but i heard the down pipe, i seen the 3 inch thermal exhuast, and i overheard him telling a guy about him hitting 18-20 psi on his T-25, all i have is the star stage 2 with no exhuast upgrades or anything,,he told me he was dynoed at 198@the wheels,,, whats up with this should i lose at 5psi? btw i found out i have a custom manifold and custom 3inch down pipe. so anybody with input let me know,,,i think this guy was pulling me around about being bone stock,,, 198@the wheels stock isnt a 20% drive train loss if im correct. Please fill me in guys.....this is my first disappointing loss..

like i told you he probably dyno's at 198 at the crank if he is lucky. theres no way he dynoed stock at 198 at te wheels. there is also no way he pushes 20 pounds on a T25...and unless your car is untuned or you suck at driving, a stock GST should not beat you at 5psi.

and BTW, all star kits come with custom manifolds and 3" downpipes

Ive seen and heard of a lot of people with stock T-25's running 22psi.

maybe, i heard they top out sooner than that, but he cant be running 20psi on a stock GSt, the stock BOV's leak way before 20 pounds. so if he is running 20psi he is lying about being stock, he would need AT LEAST an aftermarket BOV.

i over heard this guy,,,and like i said i heard the down pipe, i know that sound,,,if it wasnt that it was his thermal,,,but i ran each gear as far as i could,,,,,oh yeah i do have a custom manifold, the wastegate sits sideways no upwards like stars,,and my wastegate vac line hooks to the manni, not the turbo like star,,,i have a custom pieced kit from a friend....... and yes 18-20 psi is achievable on T-25s....even though its unsafe....:)

so does anyone know what 20psi on a 4G is equivalent to on our motors? i say 10pounds? we run over GSTs at 5psi while they sit stock at, what 12-14? so if a 4g runs 20 pounds we should run about equal with 10 or so?

oh the guy says bone stock,,,yeah Turbo is bone stock, everting else is upgraded for sure. The 4g guys were mad impressed with my ride. The guy in the gst said he would pay me to install his sr20det for his sylvia swap. HE HE,,,here in jax, fl keeping our mods on the low down is the norm....everyone covers there friends asses, especially DSMs

I personally at 5psi depending on what RPM and speed will some time lose or win.

And YES 20 psi is possible with BCS mod. Only for a split second will the car spike to 20 psi and settle back down at 15 or 16.

I highly doubt the guy is bone stock. HAve him open his hood to verify.

I don't think we should dismiss the T-25 turbo so quickly as it has good qualities. Think about it. RRE is able to achieve about 250-275 HP with a stock T-25. that does not include Porting and clipping. All this power comes very early and is highly usable.

Dude don't expect to win races with 5psi. Plus a gst with all the free mods at 15psi is close to 200@ wheels.

The BCS mod will not give you 20psi. it will give you about 1 psi over stock. I did it on my talon, and I went from 10psi to 11.

200wheel horsepower is pretty easy to get on the T-25. Just not when it is stock. full exhaust, intake, boost controller set at 16psi, IC pipes and BOV will get you around 200. It just peaks sooner and dies off much faster.

From that list, it seems like it's just a few basic bolt ons to hit 200 hp at the wheels? That would be equivalent to about 240-250 at the flywheel right? Man, I wish I had a turbo hehe. I've decided not to get a 1g seeing as almost everyone in socal dsm is having probs with their 1g's. Maybe a 99 gsx one day, but most likely my next car will just be a fast four door.

hahaa but I would never get a neon sr-t. It looks nice and all, but the name "neon" just makes me stay away from it. I'm still tormented by the commercials when the neon first came out as talking cars that said hi. It just seems like it has a toy car image, like a rav4 does. I would love a lancer, but I think those will be way out of my price range, unless you wanna split it haha.
