19216, Accel DFI-- running RICH and car won't start! (sorry long)

Okay, the Accel DFI is intalled and now the my car runs like crap. This morning the car started fine, but after a short 15 minute drive and shutoff, the car won't start. My friends and I pulled the plugs, and it's BLACK (last night it looked fine), and we could smell heavy fuel fumes. So we took the fuse off the Accel and just cranked the engine to get rid of the fuel. After that, the car starts, but it runs really rough (from too fuel at idle and low throttle driving).

Then, on the way to the track while sitting at a stop light, the car shuts off. Again, we pulled and relaced the spark plugs and the car still won't start. So we pulled the fuse to the Accel again and cranked the engine, and again, the car starts. The car hesistates (jerks) when I try to accelerate at low rpm's and throttle. But, when I go WOT, the car runs STRONG. I'm like WTF!

I had expected the fuel system to be rich, but not to the point where it's fouling the plugs after a fuel minutes of driving. The air/fuel gauge pegs out all the time--idle or WOT. For you guys with the Accel, did you experience this problem? If so, did you find a fix? I'll call HRC, but for now, I need to find out something.

I have seen the fuel maps change on their own SEVERAL times (recently happened to 002). you need calmap, and you need to keep a copy of your base fuel map for situations like this.

bring it on............

My car runs rich, but it runs good and strong, doesnt foul plugs too often... I have a copy of my base files, but I have never had to use them in the past 2 yrs.... I do need to dyno tune though, cause the base fuel maps hahn provides is too damn rich, probably to make sure "no one is blowing engines because of their kits"....

Hmmm...I don't mine running rich, but not to the point where the car dies at a stop, and I couldn't even really accelerate at low throttles. I put in new spark plugs and they are black after only about 30 minutes of driving! I called HRC and I need to find out what my base fuel pressure is, and to double-check the injector values. Sometimes shipping makes a mistake (I guess).
