I have the new billet FPR from hahn, and I noticed I now have about 20psi FP on my manual gauge after I turn the car off. I never noticed this behaviour on the old one... I'm pretty sure it used to just snap to 0 as soon as I killed the ignition.

I just watched it creep from 20psi to 60psi!... with the pumps and everything OFF. After sitting for several hours, it eventually returns to 0.

What's the deal? Anyone else have pressure when they turn the car off? Especially you SFMU and old HRC FPR guys...

that actually happens to me too. from the first day its allways been like that. so my guesss is its normal. anybody else get this? o and did they replace your fpr or did u have to buy a new one from them?

You are SUPPOSED to retain pressure after the car turns off. it's perfectly normal. It lends itself to quick warm starts - there is already fuel pressure, so it starts faster.

mitsuman: i had to buy it for $200, and pay $15 shipping, but they gave me an RGA number so after i pay to mail it back to them x(, i'll get my $200 back if its found to be "defective".

darkone: thx! ok, so why the 20-60 creep that once?

where was it coming from -> to? obviously that's the idle fuel rail pressure... but why would pressurized fuel leak *slowly* from the fuel rail/fuel pump to the line with the fpr and gauge? shouldn't every point between the pump and the FPR be exactly the same press at all times? i'm worried i have a constriction somewhere- i didn't crack a piston for no reason...
