18971, Walbro got MUCH LOUDER, HELP! Posted by cyan, Apr-03-02 02:56 PM
we all know how loud the walbro pump is, i never had a problem with it until now...im taking my car in for a new battery under waranty at satan tomorrow so id like to have this fixed right after that. what i noticed was one day i could hear my pump REALLY farkin loud. i mean the car was vibrating from it and shit. (sounded like a vibrator sitting in the rear fenderwell. meanwhile my battery has low voltage and wouldnt start immediately for the past 4 days...now the voltage is down to 8-10volts and it wont start. i will raise my car and take a peek at the pump wiring but would could be causing the pump to, well, pump so much (i assume the louder sound is from more pumping). anyone else have this problem or ideas on fixing it? (could the low battery voltage cause the pump to struggle for power and actually overpump???)

Thats exactly what it is, not enough voltage to the pump.
