i need to get a bov and was wondering which one worked the best with the star kit( i know it probably doesn't matter, but just in case)
i was thinks about HKS SS, Greddy type-s, or blitz supersound, which ever i can find the best price on i guess. But please let me know what u all think. thanx n advace.

My friend that had a turbo civic had a HKS SS. It sounded like a really sharp 'pssst'. As if you are saying, "Pssst, come here."

don't get the hks. it don't work good with our cars. I have a blitz and a greddy type s, if you are thinking about these 2 both work very well, i can't recommend one over the other, what i can tell you is that the greddy is a high pitch whistle, and the blitz is a rather quiet and stealthy exhale sounding blow off, for some reason the blitz makes the car feel like it runs better. but i think it is in my head.

Get a 1st gen BOV. They sound awesome when vented to the atmosphere, they don't cause any problems, and are really cheap.

tial bov, it vents out of those oval shaped cut outs that go all the way around the unit.

the ONLY way to fly. it's a DUMP, not a bov. no whistle here. performance wise, it's the best out there thou. it will not leak.

oh oh get the loudest one. Dude it doesn't really matter what BOV you get. Just get something for your application. Not cuz it's loud or sounds good (here comes the flames) get it because I'm gonna gonna run this much boost in the future or balblabaa. i got HKS standard BOV and it worx great. Not really loud like some people here really like but it gets the job done.

got the one that came with the kit, and after pluggin it directly to the intake mani it sounds great! no more turkey gobble just a nice solid whoosh!

it doesn't matter. the only thing that can make 1 bov worse than another is if it leaks or if it doesnt' release enough air fast enough. for a basic 250hp turbo kit, you don't have to worry about "not releasing enough air fast enough" ANY bov will work. selecting a bov in your position is based only on personal prefference.

i think this has been answred before but....what bov fits the HRC stage 2 flange? the one made for the gs-t? or do i just a univeral one? i'm looking around summits site at the turboxs and can't figure out which one to get. any help would be appreciated

so what does the blitz bov sound like? when i do go turbo all i want to hear is psst. but i heard a bov on my buddy's car that sounds a little like a psst with a trumpetty sound like when it opens it's not far enough and makes the valve flap or something so it sounds kinda a whoppy cushion but not really does that make any sence?

u dont need an adapter for the turboxs bov's when used on the HRC kit. look @ the pic i posted, it bolts right up to the hrc flange perfect

I kinda like the 3kGT bov for now.

so james how does your blitz sound does it just go psst or does it do a little chirp sound

Robert, do you have yours turn upside down, where the outlet becomes the inlet and vice versa. this will help seal the plunger better under boost.

Sounds different from the usual sigh of the 3000GT BOV.

No, I have mine on the correct way.

So who sells the TiAL bov, it looks expensive.

i've seen them for as cheap as 250$ and as expensive as 500$...

well i have the blitz dualdrive and it sounds like a sneeze then a nice smooth exhale, i also like the blitz because it does not have a diaphram to wear out. the one thing about it is that because it does not have a diaphram it does leak a itty bitty bit of boost past the piston itself, it doesent appear to be too much though.

all bov's sound different, just as long as it's releasing air and u're not getting compressor surge u're ok.
