18650, No one has NGK's here, what to use? Posted by charger71, Mar-29-02 05:50 AM
Hi guys,
I need new plugs, but noone has ngk bkr7E-11's
Is there a Bosch plug I can use? Will it really matter if I get the bosch ones that autozone has listed as the ones my car needs NT?
I'm stage I, hrc, auto, btw..
And if I get stock heat range, do I still gap them to .035 or .050??
If this is in the archives or somewhere, I didnt see it.. Thanks for all the help, you guys own =)

Don't use Bosch. They run hot.
Use either NGK's or Champion's. I don't know what the colder range is for our car, but the stock range is more than fine on a stage 1, or even a stage 2. Advanced Auto is a fairly common place though, that can order NGK's. Auto Zone has Champions. I wouldn't use much else for less than $2 a plug, much less a Bosch Splitfire.

Sorry. .035 with the turbo. And remember, with the NGK's, you can get the BKR7e's since they come pre-gapped at that number.

The NGK's are really easy to get. my local Advanced Autoparts store didnt stock them, but they got them over night. just tell them what you want and im sure they can get them. if they are supposed to come pre-gapped at .35, then i didnt know it, cause i gapped mine anyways and they were off a little.
