well today i removed the pipe and filter on the turbo inlet? and i notice like hair scratchs at the edge where the metal thingy goes around is this bad? what could cause this? this is the 16g turbo

you mean the turbo vain??? metal thingy doesn't exactly describe alot. I do know they some times take off material to balance the fins.

haha, metal thingy, if you mean teh compressor wheel, yeah little dings mean you sucked something in there that was fairly small, but at 20,000 or so RPM's, even a small object will ding the blades. it will still run properly just dont let it get too bad. BTW, if i remember correctly, most compressor wheels come with small indentions, so if they are uniform on all of the blades, then its no problem
