was cleaning the engine compartment and noticed that the bov's "release tube" was coated with oil on the inside. does not seem to be much. but I know that all my pipes plus FMIC must be coated in oil. any suggestions??

If you have an HRC kit with the breater plumbed back to the intake pipe before the turbo, it is probably blowby be sucked into your turbo and liberally dispersed through your intake plumbing.

oww come on guys! I have a star kit. and no is not from the breather (I already have a catch can).

this is inside the pipes so the oil is coming from the compressor wheel or somehow backing out through the intake manny(don't know how it would do that!)

turbo seals? since that sounds like the only place where oil could be introduced into the intake track, since ur using a catch can...

I agree. Your return line may not be drilled out enough to the pan, and oil may be backing up.

wow that's a lot of backed up oil. I will check that out, I'm really hating the idea of dropping the oil pan again, though!

pcv valve. The valve that connects the intake mani to the head. Its right above the spark plugs. If they go bad, you will see a lot of oil in your intake system.
