1786, What are the benefits of larger inj?? Posted by dsm1, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
I guess what i'm asking is this. After the turbo is installed and done, 440cc injectors installed and trimmed with a S-AFC, can I turn up the boost? Or is this set-up just a saftey precaution to supply adequate fuel? Thanks for your insight guys.

This is a star stage II kit and stock bottom end.

It all depends on how much boost you are running. If your bottom end wasn't stock I'd say go happy but I think most people would say (correct me if I'm wrong) about 10 PSI could be safe.

I'd still add either an adjustable fuel pressure regulator or switch from the standard FMU to the adjustable SuperFMU. Trimming back the fuel on 440cc injectors at the fuel pressures the FMU runs at is a lot to ask of the AFC. With 440cc injectors you'll want to bring the fuel pressure way down then fine tune with the AFC.
