Im still jus learnin bout turboin my GS and jus wanted to know which Stage I was better, and which one would I see the most HP through. They are both about the same tho huh? Price wise?

for you it was price? the HRC is cheaper and you have a star?

If you're gonna install yourself, HRC's instructions are much more "user-freindly".

well at the time it was cheaper. I got mine at one of wyatt's group buys. So yes I saved a lot of money haha but I wound up spending more on options.

Got something against STAR? My turbo is bigger than yours bwahahaha!

So Hades, if your turbo is bigger, why don't you crank it up to move some air like it can? :P

Star turbo is to big for our cars. 16G is the way to go. Most GSX's out there have 16G's on them. We dont need big ass turbo's which dont hit full boost until 4200rpm or so. 16G hits full boost around 2400rpm or so I believe. I see 11 sec 1g's all the time w/ 16G's. Go w/ HRC. Sometimes I wish I did.

Ya I don't know much about turbos, but I do know the 16g is a very popular for street driven cars. People complain about spool time on a 20g. Is the T03/04 about equivalent to a 20g? Wouldn't we need a higher redline to truly benefit from huge turbos?

A wise man once said, "What good is a turbo if our powerband can't fully utilize it's power!!!!" I guess that means that if you got a BIG FAT turbo making most of its work mid - high RPM's, and your car can't rev that high, then what good does it do!?!?!?!? I primarily went with the Super16G because I am auto, and I need something that boost at a lower RPM quicker and sooner, because AT trannies can't rev that high. Since MT trannies can rev more higher (1000 more I believe), I can see how a T3\T4 hairdryer can utilize this. Either way, boost is boost!!!!!!

depending on what floats your boat. If you want responsive low end to midrange, go with the S16g, if you are all about top speed...then the start kit is for you.

no a 20G is big but is still smaller than a T3/T4 in terms of airflow. i agree with that, it was the main reason i got the HRC kit, faster spool up and daily dirving under boost.

yes it depends what you want but i have spoken to people on this board who have changed turbine housings to get quicker spool up also if you get the bb option then from what i understand it will spool a few rpm's later than the hrc.
