I just heard that these things go bad very quickly, AND you get no warrenty!! At 500 bucks a pop, if one dies, two is equal to the cost of standalone!!
Any other options?!?!?
I cant belive apexi dos not stand behind their products!!

They're usually no more than 320, and you can usually find them for less than that. But I don't disagree with your argument, if you have to buy more than one it gets expensive.

uhh.......500 bucks....dude, somebody is pulling your leg. the most I have seen them sell for is 385, and the S-afc I have in my truck is the same one that MuRiX had in his car a LONG time ago........and it was used back then too. I have never personally seen an afc "fail".
A.D.P. bring it on............

Only way i have ever seen one fail was due to incorrect installation, or dead from the factory. I am on AFC #4 - one dead out of the box, one i fucked up, one stolen, one in the car.

I bought my S-AFC used for $230. It has been in 4 cars now and still going. I have never personally seen one fail. Dino just has bad luck. :D

www.groupbuycenter.com
They always have them $285-315

Not if you got in on the infamous MPH Unlimited groupbuy. They ripped off a bunch of people, and there was super long threads on some honda forums about it. I think they had a really big groupbuy of over 100 people, and a bunch got nothing out of it. Just be careful who you buy from. If I had a 4g63, I'd definitely get it from Road Race because they have so much experience tuning with them.

I disagree with that one. Mine blew a circuit and my installation was professional quality. My dad is an electriction and I had all the install instructions from this site and RRE. I will NOT buy another, it doesnt do that much for stock injecters ive heard from many high performance shops anyways. Ecspecially with a turbokit on a non-turbo car. Your already pushing the injecters to the limit with a turbo so if you get the AFC and need to add a bit more fuel its WONT beable to add it. Taking away fuel, it will work nicely but without the upgraded injecters, I wont buy another and by that time ill have standalone.

RRE's instructions ARE NOT for the 2GNT. If you "hooked it up right" and the thing didn't power on, you hooked it up wrong. Period. The one i got dead-from-the-box, i gave power and ground. Tried to turn it on, nothing. Dead. Next one? Good. Came right on.

Sorry, the instructions off this site that had a link to RRE's site for tuning. Also, hooked up right, turned on first try. Broke a month later. Junk, will not buy another. Any more questions?

Several hundred people use the SAFC with no problems, so it must be just your luck.

lol, just because im the only person youve heard of that has had the AFC blow a circuit means im the only person its done it too? Think about it, if several 100 people use it with no problems then several 1000 people get a piece of junk. lol there has to be more than 500 people in the world with this thing. just because you havent heard of people having problems with it, means it doesnt happen?? Dino, your on your 4th one. Therefore every one before that, was junk, whether it worked for a little bit or not, its still junk. and honestly, its the stupid people in the world that get a screwed up one, then go out and buy another that keeps apexi from putting a warrenty on this thing. a company that stands behind there product will warrenty. a company that believes a sucker is born everyday will NOT. profec b doesnt work for me, GREDDY said send it in.

If you would read his post, you would see that it says that one was stolen. So that doesnt mean it was junk. And one of them he admits was his own fault. Now the one in his car works fine.

Actually, I've heard of a few that are dead out of the box. I remember this was an issue discussed a while ago on the socal-dsm digest. Hopefully they have improved it. I think if Apex'i truly backed their products, they would warranty it at least 90 days.

its posts like these that helped me decide to try and run w/o one hehe. once i get that oil line fixed, i think ill do just find w/ the 30lb injectors and the sfmu...we'll see

I think Apex'i looks the nicest, and almost all 4g63 guys tune with them. So it's only natural to follow and get the Apex'i SAFC. I don't see many hondas with them though.
