he said he shut off the coolant or some shit like that to the turbo charger? the boost reading still works but never goes above 0psi the the turbo definatly has no function at the moment, but what gets me is the car sill has plenty of power, it stalls sometimes at idle, is this because of the turbo being disabled somehow? now im just wondring how he could just do that and still have the vehicle operate, i mean the air intake still goes through the turbine, but if there is no movement wont that restrict allmost all the air flow, i guess im just confused. someone please help me out on this one, my 1st gen needs that turbo despirately!! should i just take it out and check to see what was damaged, and if i dont find anything clean it up and put it back in? THERE MUST BE AN EASY WAY TO DO THIS!!!! ARGGHHH
1738, what?

Sorry, man, I wish I knew what exactly that guy did;he said he disconnected the oil line to lubricate the turbo and drove around the car like that? Hmmm.

You might want to post your question on the national dsm forum--http://DSMtalk.com

Good luck!

Why he cut the oil/water lines to the turbo??

If so, sounds like the turbo is seized up which now adds increased back pressure to the engine...
