well today I'm going to ad a few more "nipples" (don't know what to call them) on my intake manyfold. Now all my vacuum lines should be plugged directly to it! and no more splitting off!

It will. Just be sure to buy the right tap and get all the metal shavings out of your intake mani..

I will be cutting the part of the metal tube from the egr that boes into the first hole. and will weld little "nipples" on that. and then just bolt it to the intake manyfold like it used to be.

Are you talking about putting nipples on the EGR tube???

no, no, no.. don't do that.

Just drill and tap the intake manifold itself. Easier, cleaner.

I figured since i took the egr off might as well use that metal tube for something and take advantage of the hole that is already there on the intake manyfold. and I would not have to drill the manifold.

The proper name for them is "hose barbs" - you can pick them up in a variety of sizes and thread types at your local hardware store. Just make sure you note the thread type and buy the corresponding tap.

hehe welp your on the right track. Go with brass and used teflon paste (locktight) The last car I did took like 8 nipples. You basically run individual lines for everything you need. Its easy bro plus it cleans up alot of crap and under our hoods, room is always appreciated. later mike

well ended up building my little "splitter" with three nipples. so now all my hoses are pretty much plugged in directly into the intake. I just did not want to take out the whole intake manny. so I just cut a little pipe welded it shut and drilled holes in it and put the three nipples on and there you go. now it's nice! and no more turkey bov. just a nice whoooshhhhhh. :)
