16799, my luck sucks
Posted by Avenger EST, Mar-04-02 08:09 AM

my car with 18 psi on pump gas

my car with 30 psi (for a split second) falling to 20 psi with a big boost leak somewhere.

nitrous still doesn't work (electrical problem now :()

I just wish my car woudl do right for one day. at least I know it has the potential to make 430 FWHP without nitrous......one day.

JEEEEEZUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are some nice numbers. 30 psi is just unheard of!!!!

Actually, 30psi isnt really unheard of. There are lots of 4G63 boys boosting that much, and many many Honda, Nissan, Mazda and Toyota cars boosting that much. Maybe you just dont read ;)

if you can just bulletproof your hoses and piping, by golly I think you've got something there :-) keep up the great work. 30psi is a lot for a NT engine to be running with basically aftermarket pistons and rods, so i think thats a pretty big accomplishment. Atleast you drive your car, mine always seems to be under construction, it never ends.

Oh, I'm not saying its not impressive. Extremely impressive :D I was just messing with Dave as if he'd never heard of any car running 30 psi. ;)

It is getting there Armond. You are dealing with the same problems that other people do at that level. Hey, it could be worse, you did not complain about breaking parts. The best part about that power is how solid that little 420A really is. :)

Oh, I am impressed with two things - the power on pump gas and the super smooth curve on race gas. You are breaking up a lot on the pump gas. Why?

How does it feel on the road and how are those axles?

Oh, anyone else notice the rpms? ;)

We have two fuel cuts.

1st one - 7200 - fuel

2nd one - 7800 - ignition

Another advantage of using stand alone fuel management. :D

if that's your bad luck, I don't wanna see your good luck, you're already almost pushing more ponies then that eclipse in the scc mag I read a while back..

So with the DFI he was able to make the fuel map go to the ignition cut?

How much is a DFI?

well.......actually I am complaining. I broke my driver side stage 2 axle today :(

the pump gas runs is really rough becasue I asked ed not to put any of the smoothening in the graph on the dyno for that chart. that is what a hp and torque output graph looks like with no graph smoothening. IF I had not lost boost presure on the 30 psi run, the hp curve whoudl have just continued to skyrocket.

feels good. really smooth power on the street. still breaks axles.
Guess I won't be going to the track on fri. :(

armond, always good of u to keep 420A to the limit and represent. What i am interested in is that at 30psi you are really maxing out the poor S20G... i hope you upgrade soon... a green mite be a good route or a red turbo :)

best of luck!

Armond never ceases to amaze me.

How about this....get a bunch of guys to push you off the 60' mark, then you grandma it to 145mph at the trap? :)

That *may* prevent your snapped axles lol

seriously, how can you even drive the car on the street? you must be really feathering it...must be a torture.

hehehehehehhe. true that! it's wierd. as long as I don't give any sudden "shocks" to the system on the street, it usu. just boils the tires and goes on down the road. it's when I try to power shift into second spinnig at 6K or dump it in first is when it gives me fits. it just snapped at the track though. just couldn't take any of it.
