16614, alternative to turbo timer?
Posted by 97eclipseRS, Feb-28-02 08:48 AM
is there an alternative to running a turbo timer if you're only running 5-7psi? i've heard that hrc turbos are also able to be water cooled. between that and oil would you be able to not use a TT? has anyone done this? it's just cuz i live in NYC and not that i'm in a bad area, but i don't feel to safe about parking my car and leaving while it's still running.

The best alternative is to sit in your car for 30-45 seconds and watch your EGTs drop. The kill it and go about your merry way..

Not when the party's bumpin and all the hoes are on the dance floor getting their freak on. 45 seconds is too much to sacrifice when the fun's started.

I never actually have ever installed a turbo timer in my car. I only cool it when I run really hard. Normal driving to me does not necessitate a cool down if you are using good synthetic oil.

haha yeah there's an alternative you and your watch. Haha I remember the good ol days when I used to sit in there looking like a dumbass staring at my watching telling it to count faster :)

do yourself a favor and get a turbo timer, you'll be glad later on. Cuz 30 second times 1000 is a lot of time haha.....
