I was wondering if any of you guys are water injected, I was doing some research last night on water injection and wow what a big difference water makes this is an added insurance I think ,and it is good for lowering detonation and making your octane level rise big time just with water cooler temps too. I'm gonna water inject my car pretty soon from my friend mike here at Swat performance in lancaster CA, I never took him serious untill he turbocharged a single overhead honda with no intercooler just water injection. Since doing my research that is an added insurance in my book and makes your octane rating jump from maybe 91octane too 98octane. Water is free I can't wait for him too hook me up.just do some research on water injection and you guys will see what I'm taking about they use this On Formula1 cars too. there are some websites that sell a water injection kit Too but their kinda pricy my homeboy is gonna hook me up. As soon as I find out how he makes them I will post some info out he does have a business too run.from what I've seen on his other injection kits he has some kinda nozzle hooked up on the intake track of the copressor side of the turbo. it kinda looks like a nitrous nozzle, I guess the turbo copresses the water into a fine mist pretty good idea. ()

I've never heard of this......I've heard of alcohol setups to lower detonation and stuff, friend is getting one, but damn, water injected? hmmmm

I'm in the process of doing mine water injected. I got all my parts together for $150. Just don't have time to install.

I would like to see those sites also. My friend is doing water injection soon and said he can raise boost 6 psi more then he is now. Ill believe it when I see it. I heard about alcohol injection but I wanna see these sites before I think about that.

Basically it's spraying some atomized water into your intake at WOT. From what I"ve heard it's more efficient than intercooler. With water injection you can boost much more provided you don't run lean.

They did a 300ZX project car in sport compact (they did some really cool shit to this car) where they were using water injection. They were using it so they could boost as much as possible without using race gas. One really cool thing that I read in there was that when you use water injection your cylinders stay cleaner because the steam kind of cleans them out.

Make sure you font put it before the turbo. The mist of water will destroy the compressor Bladesmakesure its after the turbo.

Keep in mind.. water doesn't compress like air. Injecting water into your compustion chamber will effectively raise the compression of your motor. The lower temps are nice(get a bigger IC), but the increase in compression could theoretically lead to the same issues you are trying to avoid - detonation.

They used water injection in world war 2 vehicles my friend has set up alota cars with water injection he uses the compressor side of the turbo to make the water compress since the single overhead honda with no intercooler just water injected I've been really interested, water does reduce the chance of detonation check out the information I've posted. By this summer with the TTiracing 8:6 or 8:1 headgasket I'm gonna boost 13 to 14 pounds of boost water injected on stock internals some of the neons are doing it check out TTiracing.com. as soon as I get the water injection done on my car I'm gonna boost 9 to 10 pounds daily.A darkone you still got those pistons. my car is running smooth tight now my setup is 7lbs of boost with the vortech 8:1 disc. I'm gonna change my FMU to the S-FMU to run these 30lb injectors.
