15776, How can my car not handle 8 1/2psi?

Now if Im having same problem as Cyan with the leaking oil I should be straight I hope, but if not how can I not be able to handle 8 1/2 psi when I got an AFC, 370 injectors, Fuel Pump and it was just tuned. Its been 2000 since oil change and Cyan put 13 quarts of oil first 3000 miles he had turbo. Im at 7 quarts so far w/ 2000-2100 miles so Im right behind ya Cyan espcially since I got no oil now. So when I changed oil ASAP Ill have about 12 quarts at 2000-2100 miles. Obviously I aint trying to keep that up and if problem is fixed I will change oil every 2500 miles no doubt. Should I get oil changed tomorrow or will it just leak still? What to do about breather and should I block it off somehow so it cant leak. Please help cause I really enjoyed 8.5 psi for the day that I had it. Thanks

Do you have oil dripping off the car? Or is it all coming out the valve cover breather? If your losing that much oil out of the valve cover breather it isnt a good thing. You should get some blowby but not 7 quarts!! I had a oil leak at my sending unit and the "T". I re sealed all the connections with teflon tape and tightened them up real good and now I have zero oil leaks.

And yes...8.5 psi is a very nice thing. Thats what I run most of the time.

Im almost positive that I never leaked any oil until I got my car tuned and dyno'ed on Thursday. While it was on dyno I got some blowby outta the breather. Im guessing I burned a lot of oil in the 2000 miles I drove before the dyno which is kinda weird since I dont drive hard. Either that or since I was on dyno for an hour and a half I might of lost most of my oil while I was dyno'ing and for the past two days Im having same problems. I had kinda low oil after dyno but it went down a lot in the 24 hrs afer that. Im hoping Im having same problem as Cyan did and now he doesn't have that problem/
Should I take off breather and cover the hole? I doubt it does that much anyways.

Well sure, you could plug the hole.. but the internal pressure in the crankcase will likely blow every seal in your engine over the course of a few weeks. Don't do it.

Do a compression test. If you're losing that much oil, here's something wrong.

Ill do a compression test on Monday which unfortunately is the next time I could possibly do it. Until then I aint pushing my car although I am driving to visit a friend in a couple hours which is an hour drive. I figure Ill put enough oil in car to get me there. Then add more Sunday when I come back so I have enough to get home.
Also I just now got off phone w/ friend and he said to take off breather and start the car to see if black smoke comes out. Since its a vacuum if black smoke does come out Im fucked, cracked ring or something so I hope that aint it.
