15544, What clutch is everyone using?
Posted by SpoolinEclipse97, Feb-12-02 02:56 PM
im having a lot of trouble deciding.... i have 75k on my clutch, so i KNOW ill need a new one before too long since the turbo is on the way, but i cant decide. the CFDF price is a LOT better than the 600+ tag of the CM, and ill only be running at the most 10-12psi(after rebuild this summer) and 5psi until then. help me decide!

There's a reason for the pricetag. You get what you pay for. I dont recommend Centerforce. Also, not all the Clutchmasters cluthes are 600+ dollars. My clutch? Clutchmasters Stage 4.

CM Stage IV.

It's the biggest, baddest, grabbiest, chatteriest, most BRUTAL clutch i've ever had in my car. I love it. It rocks. Buy one.

You want CM Stage 4 for 500 bux? Talk to this guy from sixthgearonline.com...James can hook you up. His AIM is SixthGear81 or call him up at 727-365-7379. He quoted me for our cars around $500 for the CM stage4 or even Centerforce clutches for the same price.

Hey JustOne...I have a TB303 :7

How difficult are the CM stage 4 clutches to drive? They really touchy? cause that's what I want, I don't want anyone else to be able to drive my car. :D

that sixthgearonline price seems a little to ogood to be true, but i hope it isnt! where else carries the CM stage 3-4? i think stage 3 will be fine for my power goals. thanks.

HRC has them. The stage 4 is cheaper than the stage 3???? I paid 722.50 from HRC w/ shipping. I still haven't put mine on the car yet.

Stage 3 uses more exotic matierial in an attempt to be more streetable but holds less boost. Just go with Stage IV for a turbo. I have tried clutch net, CFDF, stock, and now I have a stage IV and it grabs. It is very much an on/off type clutch but you get used to it and the pedal pressure is very light compared to a lot of other cars I havce driven.

Yeah my stage 3 is very on off like you are saying about stage 4 but it is streetable with no problems at all. My girlfriend can even drive the car.
