What settings do you have on the DFI base fuel map for 0% load and 500/1000 rpms? Mine are at 18 and the car is so rich it's spitting black shit onto my driveway from the exhaust and loading up badly. I was thinking of going to 15, but I'm a little nervous yet about changing things. tia.

I can not honestly tell you my settings right now, and mine are going to be the ones that help you the most. :( Do you have the power tuner? Before you make your adjustments make sure that you do not have any looses sensors like the map that came with it effecting the idle. If it looks all good sooner or later you are going to have to make a change. ;) I can appreciate the apprehension though.

Actually, I talked to Bill about the Power Tuner yesterday. Sounds like something I'm going to want to get. I'm pretty sure everything is connected well, but I will be double checking everything tonight after work. If you get a chance to shoot me those numbers, I'd really appreciate it Chris.

my base fuel map is done in manifold pressure to rpm. I don't knwo hw to convert it to load to rpm (I don't think the instruction manual tells you how to do that either .......I checkd 2 days ago:(.)

Actually, I was playing around with it tonight and it if look at the table off-line it's load vs. rpm but on-line it's map vs. rpm. It's all so confusing!!!

i'm with you greg, i spit shit on my driveway too... i datalog it at .98 at idle.... 1v under load... thats pretty rich... hehe... I think HRC programs them richer than you need to limit the change of running lean and blowing your engine. dyno time for all of us i think. and this calmap software is hard to tune i think, but i really havent got into it yet.

Well mine was running fine... I dropped a couple of the base fuel map points down to lean it out and it seemed to be idling MUCH better this morning. The I stalled it (damn stage 4) and I wouldn't start back up. Swapped out the soaked plugs with some dry ones, and it still wouldn't start. Had to have it towed back to the house. Guess what I'm doing tonight... On the up side, I think I'm buying a Honda CRX for a beater, so I won't get stranded anymore (don't flame me, it's only $500!)
