Ya know how whenever they revved up and let go of the gas, it was like a flute going down in pitch/intensity in a stepwise fashion. Is that a sequential BOV? Even better would be if you know where a website is that has different BOV sounds so I can check myself. That sound is so cool

First of all, you can't do that sitting still. Especially not when only reving the engine to 1000rpm.

As for the BOV, the sound in the movie was most likely made on computers. If you want something that sounds somewhat like that, try the Greddy Type-S or possibly the HKS RFL. anything with 2 adjustment screws should be able to do that.

Or just duct tape a whistle over a 1st gen BOV :P

Haha yeah those were digitally added. The stunt cars in FF are NOS powered not turbo to keep the cost down. They didn't wanna wreck really nice cars so they made a super ricer cars and a not so ricer car hehe.

But I think if you have the right size turbo and enough boost you can make the BOV make that sound in neutral. I've seen a FD RX7 do it at an autocross.

It takes a really small turbo to do that. If i rev to about 6000RPM, i can blow off standing still.. but you can't hear it over the rest of the car!

My greddy type-s bov sounds like that.

duct taping a whistle doesnt work either, the blow-off will shoot the whistle right off the blow off valve. dont ask me how i know this

Well I was joking about the whistle thing.... though I think it would be funny to attach one of those little plastic whistles that sound like a siren to the BOV. Would make an interesting sound if nothing else. JB WELD!!

yeah it didnt make the mods list seeing as how it shot right off on the first blow-off. ill try it with a kazoo some time. or how bout rigging up a bull-horn with the button taped down so that the horn stays on and blow off into the mouthpiece. youd probably crack a few windows and kill some wildlife in the process.

The sounds i loved hearing in the movie was the exhaust tone on Johnny Tran's S2000 when he was revving it...that thing sounds mean as hell! but on that Green eClipse...hhehehe...that thing sounds whacked...it sounds like a radio control airplane.

I used to be able to make my bov go off without moving back when i was stage 1. But now with the fmic and piping i cant do it anymore.
